An acoustically protected birch-paneled Classroom Auditorium opens into a Kitchen Lab through folding partitions, providing maximized spatial and educational flexibility. The kitchen lab consists of six stainless steel workstations with overhead storage, a central island with a full range, in addition to custom designed counters and sinks to accommodate twenty-four students. The lab also incorporates a state-of-the art stainless steel ventilation and lighting system, the first of its kind in North America. Television monitors in the classroom project demonstrations by celebrity chefs, and one monitor located outside the auditorium provides a glimpse to passersby’s of what students are learning inside.
