Stephen Wenzel

BAS, MArch, ext 230

Stephen was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario and completed his architectural education at the University of Waterloo. While at school, he developed a particular interest in creating pedestrian-oriented environments and vibrant urban spaces. He completed his Masters of Architecture with a thesis that explored the potential of new infrastructures and amenities to promote cycling in the city.

During school and between degrees, Stephen gained valuable experience in the industry working at various architecture firms both locally and internationally, including Giannone Petriconne Architects, NORR Limited, Zeidler Partnership, Gow Hastings Architects, and Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (NY, USA). At these offices, he worked on a variety of projects ranging from institutional to small-scale residential, including healthcare, condominiums, offices, retail, and restaurants.

Once again back at Gow Hastings Architects, Stephen brings a wealth of valuable skills to the firm, with particular strengths in visual communications, working drawings, and digital technology.
