Bio

Throughout her studies, Courtney worked at Toronto architecture firms, becoming a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design & Construction. Her experience at these offices prepared her professionally and focused her architectural interests.

She has contributed to many types of projects, including residential and commercial, with a substantial amount of experience working on institutional, community, and educational projects. At Gow Hastings, Courtney brings her strengths to the firm in design development, digital modelling, and graphic visualization.

Courtney completed her Bachelor of Architecture (2015) and Master of Architecture (2017) at Carleton University. Throughout her studies, she developed interests in sustainability and the mobility of the built environment. Her Master's Thesis examined how architecture might continue to flourish through society’s dependence on digital technology, winning the Maxwell Taylor Scholarship for innovation in building technologies. Her graduate studies also allowed her to spend a semester abroad in Lisbon, Portugal, where she participated in a studio taught by Barbas Lopes Arquitectos.
