Niagara College Student Commons Celebrated at Niagara Biennial Design Awards

On Tuesday, the Student Commons was honoured with an Award of Excellence from the Niagara Biennial Design Awards. Building on the former Niagara Community Design Awards, which ran until 2016, the Niagara Biennial Design Awards celebrate the role of design toward the enhancement of unique and diverse environments in the Niagara Region. The Commons was commended by judge Gordon Stratford, as a "uniquely engaging and agile hub that reflects the energy of Niagara College's academic community."

We are grateful for our strong partnership wtih Niagara College, which has allowed us to achieve award-winning projects that advance student-centred design. We are overjoyed with the congratulations given by Pam Skinner, Vice President of College Opererations at Niagara College: “As Gow Hastings continues to build on their track record of design excellence by winning the acclaim of judges at home and around the world, their vibrant student hubs are winning hearts within our College community. These transformational spaces not only beautify our campuses, they are truly foundational to student success.”
