Valerie Gow Recipient of University of Toronto Arbor Award

Our very own Valerie Gow was honoured with a University of Toronto Arbor Award on October 10, 2019. The prestigious Arbor Award recognizes and celebrates the contributions of the University of Toronto’s outstanding volunteers, who personify the University’s motto, Velut Arbor Aevo – “May it grow as a tree through the ages.” It is the highest honour granted by the University of Toronto and is given for “sustained contributions to faculties, colleges, institutes, or for broader contributions to the University at large.”

Valerie is being recognized for her dedication in supporting literacy education. She was nominated by the Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study for spearheading multiple library fundraising efforts since 2011.

Congratulations, Valerie!
