Niagara College Student Commons Wins VODA Award of Excellence

We are excited to announce that the Niagara College Student Commons received a Value of Design Award (VODA) at the second annual Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) Design Symposium on September 13. Our design for the Student Commons was honoured with an Award of Excellence in the category of Innovation in Institutional/Educational/Civic Design.

VODA celebrates innovation in design thinking, and is given to designers who continue to push the boundaries of interior design. The Niagara College Student Commons pushes the boundaries by transforming a large, outdated gymaniusm into a collection of inviting activity zones for students to eat, socialize and study on the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus. The design makes the most of its existing conditions by employing small purposeful interventions with a large impact.

We are thrilled to receive this honour from IDC, and extend our congratulations to fellow winners in the design and architecture community.
